Now we must resign ourselves: from the immediate future, virtually all of the games – and not just those on the Playstation Network- will adopt the philosophy of ‘ Online Pass .Battlefield 3 is no exception which, as previously rumored , this will require “mandatory pass” – which still do not know the extent – to be run by “second-hand users.”
In response to questions from users, Alan Kertz , gameplay designer DICE, was thus expressed on Twitter :
“You also have to buy a used copy for each online pass”
Asked about the reasons for this choice ,Kertz merely sayingthat:
“… The maintenance of the server is very expensive and used games do not carry even one dollar in the pockets of developers”
In short, it seems that there is no escape …
